Tony (pictured here on left with John Ditchfield recently) lives in Norfolk and has been collecting John’s work for a short period of time of about five years. The very first time Tony experienced the delight of seeing John’s work, was from an episode of Bargain Hunt in 2000 then hosted by the flamboyant David Dickinson. David expressed his delight when he came across John’s now world famous frog disc, with lily pads, and trails sporting a sterling silver frog, strategically placed on one of the lily pads. David’s delight in getting one of the “antiques of the future” inspired Tony to follow David’s recommendation to collect these fantastic and beautiful creations, thus starting his love affair with Glasform. So now after amassing a collection of over 130 pieces, Tony thought the time had come to get together the passionate collectors out there, so with these thoughts in his head, he has created what will be, a dedicated site for John Ditchfield and Glasform collectors. Tony has visited the Glasform Studio near Blackpool on many occasions and has formed a fantastic friendship with John, his wife Karen and all the wonderful staff working there, this is why he has been able to get such a fantastic web site together.
When you become a member, you will have the chance to enter our twice yearly “draw”, which will consist of a unique item of art glass made by John Ditchfield, signed and certificated and only available for the club members to win, plus we have the privilege of having a unique and exquisite piece of silver jewellery which incorporates the use of John’s glass and made for members only to win, and is made by Glasform’s Welsh silversmith Lee Appleby this also will be signed and certificated.
