Lee was born in South Wales, U.K. in 1970. During his teenage years his parents owned an antiques and collectibles shop, It was here that Lee feels his fascination for Stained Glass and Design began. There was always something interesting and unusual at the shop, everything from Art Nouveau furniture and jewellery with it's flowing curves , to the geometric Art Deco Furniture and glass with it's sharp and precise lines and also the fantastic and bright colours of the Clarice Cliff and Poole pottery.

After leaving school in 1986, Lee trained as a carpenter, It wasn't until nine years later, after marrying and purchasing his first house, that Lee started to work with glass. In 1995 Lee attended a Stained Glass evening class for a short time, firstly as a hobby. Over the next seven years he continued to experiment with his new found craft, developing different methods and techniques, while continually researching new products and testing new materials. Then in May 2002 he started his own business " L.A. Stained Glass Design "
